Job summary

Surgi-Center of Central VA in Manassas, VA is hiring a Certified Surgical Tech to join our outpatient surgical team. The Surgical Technologist scrubs for procedures and maintains a sterile field while supporting a fast-paced operating room.

We offer a $10k sign-on bonus, a collaborative environment, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives across a center with four ORs and a diverse specialty mix.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Surgical Technician Program or equivalent.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical center preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient.
• Teamwork and strong communication with staff, patients, and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
