Job summary

Surgi-Center of Central VA, a USPI affiliated outpatient center, is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to scrub and support operating room teams in a fast-paced setting. As part of our center with four operating rooms, you will maintain sterile technique, prep instruments, and assist surgeons while upholding our commitment to patient-centered care and safety.

A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Experience in an ambulatory surgical center preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient.
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Certified Surgical Technologist at Surgi-Center of Central VA

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.

• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED;
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
