Job summary

Henrico Doctors' Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to join our surgical services team. The role requires education in anatomy and physiology and relevant certifications, including RVT/ RVS or ARRT VS within 6 months, and BLS certification. Preferred candidate has 2+ years of surgical technologist experience.

Qualifications

• Two years of college courses with an anatomy and physiology concentration, or an associate degree with anatomy/physiology.
• Meet educational requirements defined by governing body (ARDMS/CCI/ARRT).
• Registered RVT(ARDMS) or RVS(CCI) or ARRT (VS) credential within 6 months of hire date.
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Preferred: minimum 2 years as a Surgical Technologist.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Required - Two years of college courses with concentration in anatomy and physiology, and/or Graduate of vocational school or an associate’s degree with a concentration in anatomy and/or physiology. Meet educational requirements as defined by governing body under applicants’ relevant credential (ARDMS/CCI/ARRT).

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Required - Registered Vascular Technologist-RVT(ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist-RVS(CCI) or ARRT (VS) credential obtained within 6 months of hire date.

Required- Basic Life Support from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred - Minimum 2 Years As a Surgical Technologist

EDUCATION/LICENSURE

Required – BLS Certified (30-day grace period)

State Certified Surgical Technologist
