Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to scrub and support OR teams. You will provide sterile instruments and supplies, maintain aseptic technique, and assist physicians during procedures while upholding hospital policies.<\/p>

The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous education, and cost-conscious care within a busy surgical services environment. Acknowledgement of BLS and Virginia licensure requirements is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology Program or equivalent experience.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in and provide equipment/supplies per patient and physician needs.
• Maintain aseptic technique across procedures.
• Support cost containment while delivering quality patient care in OR.
• Adhere to hospital policies and participate in team, continuing education.
• Contribute to Surgical Services Team and pursue professional growth.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Demonstrates competency in scrubbing as it relates to unit scope of care including asceptic technique.
• Plans and provides equipment and supplies based on patient and physician needs.
• Promotes cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the operating room.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures; supports the mission of the hospital.
• Works as a member of the Surgical Services Team to promote teamwork.
• Pursues own professional growth through continuing education and in services.

Qualifications

Education

• Required: High School Graduate / GED
• Required: Graduate of Surgical Technology Program or previous experience

Licensure

• Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider
• Required: Virginia License as a Certified Surgical Technologist
