Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to assist in nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient. You will scrub and perform related procedures, assist in supplies, and support both emergency and scheduled cases with patient transport and supervision.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of a surgical technology program, CST certified, with BCLS and preferably two years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology and certified as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST).
• Two (2) year recent OR experience preferred.
• BCLS certification is required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists in Nursing Care and preparation of the surgical patient by performance of routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of GSRMC, and the department of Surgical Services. Performs scrub duties and related procedures. Assists in the maintenance of all supplies. Provides assistance in emergency procedures as well as elective and scheduled cases. Assists in preparation, transportation and supervision of patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology and Certified as a Certified Surgical Technician through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting

• Two (2) year recent OR experience preferred

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
