Job summary

Mountain Empire Surgery Center in Johnson City, TN is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to join our ambulatory surgery team. The role supports operating rooms with sterile technique, patient positioning, and instrument handling under surgeon supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a CST, is BLS certified, and demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to stay calm in fast-paced settings while maintaining high patient-care standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous experience as a Certified Scrub Technician in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
