Job summary

North Coast Surgery Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Assistant to support surgeons in the operating room, ensuring exposure, hemostasis and safe, efficient procedures. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, dignity, privacy and safety throughout the surgical process.

The candidate will work under direct supervision in licensed hospitals and ambulatory centers, with duties spanning prep, draping, tissue handling, instrument care and collaboration with the surgical team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and NSAA-approved program.
• OH state licensure as Registered Surgical Assistant, NST; CPR; BLS.
• Continuing education requirements per Association of Surgical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Determine equipment needed for procedures
• Assist in exposing anatomy and positioning for procedures
