Smith Ironworks in Hesperia, CA is seeking a Certified Shop Welder for the swing shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.).

This full‑time, non‑union role involves welding structural iron and steel assemblies, reading erection drawings, and maintaining safety and quality on every project. The ideal candidate has MIG/TIG or Stick welding experience, reads blueprints, and has 2+ years in structural fabrication, plus a high school diploma or GED.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• MIG, TIG, or Stick welding experience.
• Minimum of 1 year fabrication experience.
• Must read blueprints/plans and erection drawings.
• 2+ years as Structural Steel / Misc. Erector.

Responsabilidades

• Read erection drawings and plan weld sequence.
• Weld on structural iron and steel components.
• Use cranes to position parts and guide components.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and procedures.
• Inspect parts against blueprints before assembly.
• Operate grinders and hand tools as needed.
• Weld in multiple positions.
