Job summary

Methodist Celina Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, sterilize, and deliver surgical instruments and supplies. You will prepare instrument trays, operate related equipment, and help maintain restocked inventory for daily surgical services.

The role requires a high school diploma and completion of a sterile processing program or surgical technologist training, with hospital-based on-the-job training accepted. Certification is preferred.

Job Purpose

• Receives fills and delivers supply orders, processes and sterilizes instruments trays. Cleans and inspects patient equipment, gathers instruments and supplies for surgical case carts. Operates equipment as well as some computer systems, inventories and restocks departmental supplies and special carts.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an approved Sterile Processing Technician Program Or
• Surgical Technologist Program Or
• On the job training in a hospital based training program

Licenses and/or Certifications:

• Certification by HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) or CBSPD

Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community’s first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more.
