Responsibilities

• Sterilize and prepare instruments following standards and safety protocols.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect and assemble surgical instrument sets for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage sterilization records and maintain traceability of packs and loads.
• Operate and maintain autoclaves, washers, and sterilization equipment.
• Collaborate with surgical team to verify instrument availability and readiness.
• Identify and address instrument defects or shortages promptly.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to reduce turnaround times.
• Document non-conformances and participate in root-cause analysis.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper waste handling.
• Assist in cross‑training to support department coverage and career growth.

Experience / Qualifications

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician with current credential required.
• Proficient operating autoclaves, washers, and sterilization equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records with traceability and documentation.
• Adhere to infection control policies and regulatory requirements consistently.
• Ensure instrument sets are complete and ready for surgical use.
• Identify defects, address shortages, and escalate issues promptly.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis for non‑conformances and process improvements.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to verify instrument availability.
• Support cross‑training and contribute to department coverage and growth.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and proper waste handling.
