Job summary

SageWest Health Care – Lander is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech for a full-time shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm. The role involves decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and patient care equipment, with mentorship for staff development.

Ideal candidates hold CRCST or CBSPD certification, a High School diploma, and 1-2 years of sterile processing experience.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of sterile processing standards (AAMI, AORN, TJC).
• Proficient with tracking systems and sterilization equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform all aspects of sterile processing.
• Maintain high standards for quality assurance and sterility validation.
• Assist with department audits and documentation review.
• Train and support onboarding of new staff and students.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Maintain records of biological and chemical indicators.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and infection control standards.
