Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Sterile Processing program preferred.
• Previous hospital central service/decontamination and instrument distribution experience preferred.
• National or International Sterile Processing Technician Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Picks surgical case carts, stores and distributes reusable patient care equipment, instrument trays and supplies.
• Participates as a productive member of the OR processing team.
• Maintains positive relationships with patients, customers, and co-workers.
• Participates as a productive member of the perioperative process team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards and PHI handling requirements.
