Job summary

Texas Health Denton is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech (PRN) to join our team at 3000 N I-35 Denton, TX 76201. The role supports weekdays evenings and/or weekend shifts, performing instrument tray assembly, decontamination, loading sterilizers, and tracking items in the SPM system.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1 year sterile processing experience preferred; CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications upon hire are required or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year sterile processing experience preferred.
• CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/trays.
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the SPM system.
• Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure.
• Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers and Emergency Eyewash and Shower.
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method
• Scans prepared items into correct sterilizer load.
