Qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 days of start date.
High School Graduate / GED.
Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician).
One year of Central Sterile Processing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Operate cleaning and sterilization equipment: cart washers, sonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers, and heat-sealing units.
Demonstrate proper knowledge of chemicals, detergents, and disinfecting agents.
Assemble trays and peel packs, identifying contents, indicators, wrapping, and sterilization methods.
Transport clean and soiled case carts between operating rooms and the Sterile Processing department.
Maintain cleanliness and adequate supply levels at workstations.
