The ideal candidate will have basic cardiac life support certification, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications, with one year of experience preferred. Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 60 days of start date.
  • High School Graduate / GED.
  • Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician).
  • One year of Central Sterile Processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate cleaning and sterilization equipment: cart washers, sonic cleaners, washers, sterilizers, and heat-sealing units.
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge of chemicals, detergents, and disinfecting agents.
  • Assemble trays and peel packs, identifying contents, indicators, wrapping, and sterilization methods.
  • Transport clean and soiled case carts between operating rooms and the Sterile Processing department.
  • Maintain cleanliness and adequate supply levels at workstations.

Skills

Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Knowledge of cleaning and sterilization equipment
Understanding of chemicals used in sterilization
Ability to assemble sterilization trays
Strong attention to detail

Education

High School Graduate / GED
CRCST or CSPDT certification
