Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Sterile Process Tech-Certified for the Day shift (7a-3:30p) to inspect, assemble and evaluate surgical instruments and sets, ensure proper sterilization, and maintain inventory for case carts.

Responsibilities include decontamination, instrument tracking, and quality audits. Education/experience includes a high school diploma equivalency or 1 year of related experience, with licensure/certification accepted in lieu of education or experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of job-specific experience.
• Licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience.
• Central Service Tech credential in Sterile Processing required (HSPSA or CBSPD) prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, assembles and evaluates surgical instruments and sets for quality and sterilization.
• Operates sterilization equipment and ensures cleanliness and proper function.
• Performs decontamination of soiled instruments and containers as per IFUs and protocols.
• Maintains proper inventory levels for case carts.
• Performs regular quality assurance audits of peers.
