Job summary

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech to promote quality and patient safety in the OR by ensuring efficient workflow within the Sterile Processing department.

This role handles decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of instruments and supplies, maintains equipment records per AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA, and mentors non-certified staff while supporting survey readiness.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Promote improved quality and patient safety in the OR by ensuring efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department.
• Perform decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and supplies; monitor sterilization equipment.
• Maintain records per AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards, and mentor non-certified staff.
• Foster awareness of patient stakes in the OR.
• Assist in staff preparation for survey/regulatory assessments.
