Job summary

Little People’s Academy Daycare Center LLC in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher to support young learners with developmental and learning needs. • Must hold valid NYS certification in Special Education.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Experience with children having developmental, behavioral, or learning disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each child's unique needs and goals
• Provide direct instruction using evidence-based special education strategies and differentiated teaching methods
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress toward IEP goals and developmental milestones
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, therapists, and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
• Create an inclusive, safe, and nurturing classroom that accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain accurate student records, reports, and compliance documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations

• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Patient, empathetic, and passionate about early childhood special education
• Ability to pass a background check and meet all NYC/NYS childcare regulatory requirements
