Job summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified School Counsellor to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

You will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and school staff to promote student success and personal growth.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure as School Counselor required in the applicable state.
• Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
• Experience in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments and identify students needing counseling interventions.
• Develop strategies to promote social-emotional learning and coping skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, admins, parents, and child study teams to support student well-being.
• Assist with crisis intervention and referrals to community resources.
• Attend IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
• Maintain confidential student records per policy and regulations.
• Monitor progress and recommend interventions and supports.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a positive school climate.

Job Summary

EDU-AIDs is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified School Counsellor to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being while helping create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. The School Counsellor will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and school staff to promote student success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group counseling services to students addressing academic, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments and identify students who may benefit from counseling interventions and support services.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and positive coping skills.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and child study teams to support student achievement and well-being.
• Assist with crisis intervention and provide appropriate referrals to community resources when necessary.
• Participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely student records in compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Monitor student progress and recommend appropriate interventions and support plans.
• Participate in professional development and training activities as required.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Counsellor in the applicable state.
• Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development, counseling techniques, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional ethics.
