Responsibilities

• EDUCATION: Take initiative to identify own learning needs and set goals for education to improve personal practice; identify and meet staff and unit educational needs; act as a resource to staff with equipment troubleshooting.
• PRACTICE: Provide assistance intraoperatively in exposure, hemostasis, handling tissue and suturing; practice independently to provide comprehensive and individualized care through the perioperative continuum using in-depth knowledge with advanced clinical experience.
• COMMUNICATION: Perform in an approachable, knowledgeable, calm and professional manner; interact effectively with all care team members; delegate using diplomacy and tact.
• LEADERSHIP: Initiate activities without being asked; act as a professional role model and create positive unit culture; evaluate and make recommendations to improve unit operation.
