Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Rigger to assemble and move heavy equipment across industrial sites, ensuring safety and efficiency. The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman rigging experience, NCCCO Rigging Level II or NCCER Advanced Gold certification, and the ability to read load weights and using hand signals.

You will attach rigging to overhead structures, assemble cranes, inspect gear, and work with crane operators to coordinate lifts.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level experience (3–5 years) required.
• Certification: NCCCO Rigging Level II or NCCER Advanced Gold.
• Valid State ID is required.

Responsibilities

• Select cables, ropes, pullup, winches, blocks and sheaves based on load.
• Attach rigging to fixed overhead structures safely.
• Assemble and disassemble cranes as needed.
• Splice rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle.
• Direct crane operators with hand signals and radios to move loads safely.
• Set up and rig hoisting equipment with hand tools and power wrenches.
• Maintain safety compliance and follow company policies.
