Clinton Regional Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) who is certified or enrolled in an approved Respiratory Therapy program, or a graduate pursuing RRT status. The role involves providing respiratory care in patient care settings, including mechanical ventilation management and therapy assessment under the Medical Director's direction.

Job exists as a position for RCP's who are certified only, a student enrolled in an approved Respiratory Therapy School, or for graduate RCP who is pursuing RRT status or waiting to take the examination to obtain RRT status. RCP technicians who do not obtain the RRT credential within department specified time frames will no longer be eligible to remain in this job category. Under the direction of the Medical Director this practitioner will provide respiratory care in patient care settings appropriate to their level of training and competency - see stipulations identified in the performance measures and standards- . Duties may include the administration of all respiratory care therapeutic modalities, management of mechanical ventilation, and the assessment of effectiveness of therapy administered. The practitioner will participate in such diagnostic activities as ABG procurement and analysis and hemodynamic and other noninvasive monitoring.
