Description Summary

Responsible for pulmonary care of adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision. Performs respiratory therapy procedures, patient assessments, and develops care plans.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency codes (Blue and White)
• Manage airways, including suctioning
• Deliver aerosolized medications
• Manage ventilators
• Perform oral hygiene and airway device management
• Operate oxygen and therapeutic devices
• Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs
• Document accurately
• Maintain equipment and supplies
• Participate in surveys (CAP, JC)

Potential roles include Shift Leader or Team Leader. Advanced skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary testing, bronchoscopy assistance, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, and nocturnal SpO2 evaluation.

Job Requirements

• BLS certification
