Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist – CRT to provide diagnostic, therapeutic and pharmacologic respiratory care under physician orders.

You will assess patients, monitor therapy responses, and tailor treatment plans to support respiratory function and recovery. You'll document all treatments, maintain infection control standards, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• CRT certification required.
• 1–2 years healthcare or clinical setting preferred.
• ACLs/PALS/BCLS required; NICU roles may require NRP or STABLE.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Operates ventilator settings and airway management during respiratory support.
• Conducts patient assessments and monitors response to therapy.
• Documents treatments and patient responses clearly in EMR.
• Maintains infection control and patient identification procedures.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to ensure safety and quality care.
