Description:
In accordance with the mission of Diley Ridge Medical Center (DRMC), the Certified Respiratory Therapist:
- Provides care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
- Functions as part of a team, accountable for diagnostic respiratory testing and therapeutic procedures within organizational standards, policies, and guidelines.
- Supports clinical care in the Emergency Department, Inpatient Unit, Imaging Services, and Outpatient Draw Station.
Responsible for the delivery of care and services to patients within the Medical Center campus, including duties and responsibilities not specifically listed.
Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Education: Graduate of an approved School for Respiratory Therapy, leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
- Licensure/Certification: Current Ohio Respiratory Professional License and National Board Respiratory Credential (post 7/1/2002).
- Experience: Clinical experience with adult and pediatric respiratory procedures, including aerosolized medication delivery, mechanical ventilation, intubation assistance, pulmonary function studies, emergency care, and arterial blood gases.
- Skills: Self-directed, motivated, organized, leadership, teamwork, effective communication, BLS, ACLS (within 3 months), PALS (within 3 months).

Includes blood & body fluid contact, infectious diseases, chemicals, and other hazards, with appropriate precautions.
