LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, part of the HCA Healthcare family, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with department standards and state requirements. The role involves coordinating tests, administering therapies, and monitoring ventilation for diverse patients within a 140+ bed facility in Southwest Virginia.

The successful candidate will have ACLS and BCLS readiness within specified timeframes and hold RRT/CRT credentials.

Formación

• ACLS must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner credential.
• NBRC-CRT Certified Respiratory Therapist credential.

• Perform a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures.
• Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. The Respiratory Therapist supports the facility’s standards of performance and promotes the vision/mission/values of the organization

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 4 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• (NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist
• Certificate
