What We Do

***Seeking Certified Residential Real Estate Appraisers located within the Duluth, MN area***

What You'll Do

  1. Conduct an unbiased and impartial valuation of residential real estate by analyzing market and property-specific data, and complete appraisal reports in accordance with USPAP, government, company, regulatory board, and client-specific guidelines.
  2. Inspect residential real estate of all types and document on-site data collection/inspection with photographs, measurements, sketches, diagrams, and field notes.
  3. Consider all factors that could influence property value including, but not limited to, legal characteristics, highest and best use, market conditions, locational factors, site, view, design, quality, age, condition, size, physical attributes, etc.
  4. Be proficient in sales comparison, cost, and income approaches to value.
  5. Be proficient with local MLS and local real estate data sources.
  6. Be proficient with major form types (1004, 2055, 1073, 1075, 1025, Review Forms, etc.)
  7. Partner with Senior Appraisers/Appraisal Helpdesk to ensure quality at an assignment level, and to make process improvements to eliminate addendums and quality control rejections.
  8. Participate in monthly Appraiser meetings.
  9. Meet all department turn time expectations and proactively escalate if timeframes are at risk of not being met.

What You'll Bring

  1. Ability to work within varying client-driven requirements and deadlines.
  2. Exceptional analytical and narrative writing skills.
  3. Ability to analyze data, draw sound conclusions, and summarize results for various audiences.
  4. Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, accurate environment.
  6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to deliver clear messages to appraisers, vendors, and operational staff.
  7. Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up.
  8. Preferred experience in REO appraisals.
  9. HUD/FHA experience preferred.
  10. Active Appraiser Certification as required by the state's regulatory agency.
  11. Zero disciplinary actions within the past +/-10 years.
  12. Valid Driver's License.

This position pays a state minimum wage draw against a percentage fee split.

This hiring range is an estimate of the base pay at the time of posting. Pay is based on factors including knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and location.
