Job summary

Rowan Medical Center, part of Novant Health, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to deliver safe, independent anesthesia care across procedures in a collaborative environment.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule (24 hours/week), up to a $60,000 sign-on bonus with relocation support, and opportunities for continuing education and professional growth.

Experience not required for new graduates, with a 4–6 week orientation and access to leadership support.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include BSN/MSN/DNP or higher graduate diploma and graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia.
• NBCRNA certification required; state licensure in appropriate state; NBCRNA recertification every four years.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required per NH policy; current RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan.
• Administer anesthetics for a wide range of surgical and non-surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams.
• Adjust anesthetic plans as needed based on patient status.
• Practice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges.
• Float between sites based on staffing needs and patient volume.

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you'll deliver expert, independent anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures — from routine surgeries to complex cases — in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

What You'll Do

• Deliver safe and effective anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan, pediatrics through geriatrics
• Administer anesthetics for a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery

• Adjust anesthetic plans as needed based on changing patient status
• Practice independently within full CRNA scope of privileges
• Float between sites based on staffing needs and patient volume

What We're Looking For

• Education: BSN, MSN, DNP, and/or graduate diploma level certification required. Graduate from both an Accredited School of Nursing and School of Nurse Anesthesia. Certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and recognized by the state of practice as a CRNA. Must meet minimum continuing education requirements every four years of the NBCRNA, required.
• Experience: Previous experience is not necessary. Four to six week orientation period for new graduates (working with preceptor) is required. Orientation period for experienced providers will depend on previous experience and clinical skills.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Current CRNA endorsement in appropriate state, required.
  • NBCRNA certification, required.
  • ACLS certification within NH policy, required.
  • BLS certification within NH policy, required.
  • PALS certification within NH policy, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Must have extensive knowledge of current anesthetic agents, techniques, drugs and equipment.
  • Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify the anesthetic plan of care suitable to patient age.
  • Must have considerable ability to make independent decisions, sometimes under stress, and to maintain a professional demeanor with patients, coworkers and physicians.
