Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System's UM Rehab & Ortho Institute seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons and medical staff.

The CRNA will handle pre-anesthetic prep, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care across practice settings, with Monday–Friday 12-hour days, full-time, no nights or on-call.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a Master's degree in nurse anesthesia.
• Current Maryland licensure to practice nursing and nurse anesthesia.
• NBCRNA certification.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories: Pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation; Anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence; Post-anesthesia care; Peri-anesthetic and clinical support functions.

Job Description

This position provides anesthetic care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, and medical professionals in every practice setting throughout UM Rehab & Ortho Institute.The CRNA will administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in four general categories:

• Pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation
• Anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergence
• Post-anesthesia care
• Peri-anesthetic and clinical support functions

Shift: Monday - Friday 12-hour shifts; Full Time, Days - no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and graduation with a Master's degree from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
• Must hold current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Nurse Examiners to practice nursing and nurse anesthesia.
• Hold current certification or recertification from the National Board on Certification & Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Additional Information

Pay Range: $235,000 - $280,000
