Job description

Administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration and consultation with attending anesthesiologists in the main OR and satellite areas as needed.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Participating in pre-anesthetic preparation and evaluation.
  2. Formulating a patient-specific plan for anesthesia care in collaboration with the attending anesthesiologist.
  3. Implementing monitors and adjusting the patient's physiologic condition according to the type of anesthesia and the patient's needs.
  4. Transferring patient care responsibilities post-operatively to ensure continuity and safety.
  5. Supporting operating room procedures.
  6. Engaging in additional responsibilities within the expertise of the CRNA.
  7. Assuming responsibility for personal professional development and contributing to the development of others.
  8. Performing other duties as assigned.
Position Compensation Range:

$140.00 Hourly

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Master's Degree in Nursing or Anesthesia from an accredited institution or eligibility to practice as a CRNA in Virginia.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Virginia, and certified as a CRNA. AHA BLS certification required.
Physical Demands:

Prolonged sitting, frequent bending/stooping, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to communicate effectively, pay attention to detail, and lift/push/pull heavy weights. Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and biological hazards is possible.
