Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA, is seeking team members to help us achieve our vision of being the premier hospital of choice for patients, physicians, and employees. IMC is looking to add a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) on a PRN basis. The staff CRNA is part of a team providing various types of anesthesia to a wide range of patients of all ages and health statuses at Iberia Medical Center. Anesthetizing locations include primarily the Surgical Suite and the Labor and Delivery Unit. In emergent situations in other hospital areas, the CRNA’s presence may be required.

WORK HOURS:

  • 7:00 am - 3:00 pm as needed
  • No call & No Weekends

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program and Nurse Anesthesia Program
  • Licensed in Louisiana as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
  • National certification (or recertification) by the Council on Certification of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Basic Life Support certification

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

  • Attend hospital orientation and a comprehensive anesthesia department orientation
  • Familiarize with department policies and procedures during the 90-day probationary period

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain current licensures
  • Report to work as scheduled, in proper attire with ID
  • Demonstrate commitment to IMC’s core values and support the hospital’s mission
  • Follow anesthesia department policies and procedures
