Overview

Maine Medical Center seeks multiple Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) to join their team. The facility is expanding its clinical services, necessitating additional professional support.

Schedule
  • Work Hours: 36-40 hours per week
  • Shift Options: 10 or 12-hour shifts available
  • Common Shifts:
  • Note: Lunch is unpaid; standard 15-minute breaks are provided
  • There is flexibility for additional hours under regular conditions
Practice Details
  • Setting: Hospital-based
  • Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
  • Practice Model: Operates under a medical direction billing model with collaborative practice
  • Average Surgical Cases Per Day: 100
  • Annual ER Volume: 60,000 visits
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 50
Patient Demographics
  • Care is provided across the entire lifespan
  • Dedicated pediatric CRNA team is available for pediatric cases
Requirements
  • Procedures: General surgical cases for adults, spinal anesthesia, neurosurgical cases, ventilation management, and local infiltration
  • CRNAs will not handle open-heart, regional anesthesia, or central lines
  • Board Certification is required
  • Maine State License preferred
  • BLS and ACLS are mandatory, PALS is optional
  • At least one year of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center is required
  • Recent graduates are not eligible
Additional Information
  • Typically, CRNAs do not cover pediatric, thoracic, or OB cases as specialized teams handle these areas.
  • Credentialing timeframe is approximately 120 days.
