Locum Opportunity: Portland, Maine

A 929-licensed-bed teaching hospital that functions as a regional referral center, providing comprehensive healthcare services to Maine and parts of Vermont and New Hampshire.

Opportunity Details

• Position: Locum CRNA needed to fill ongoing staffing needs.
• Schedule: 36-40 hours/week, with 10- or 12-hour shifts. Options to work as the schedule allows.
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based
• EMR System: EPIC
• Supervision: Medical direction billing model with a collaborative practice alongside physician anesthesiologists.
• Surgical Volume: Approximately 100 cases per day.
• Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Annual ER Volume: Over 60,000 visits/year
• OR Staff: Focused on patient-centered care, fostering collaboration and mutual respect.
• Number of Operating Rooms: 50
• Patient Demographics: Whole lifespan care with a dedicated pediatric CRNA team for pediatric cases.
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days
• Required Procedures: General surgical cases (adult), spinal anesthesia, neurosurgical cases, ventilation management, local infiltration. Note: CRNAs will not perform open hearts, regional anesthesia, or central lines, as dedicated teams cover these cases.
