Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide anesthesia services for patients across the healthcare continuum, including infant, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
2. Coordinate peri-operative patient care in collaboration with all members of the healthcare team.
3. Respond to staffing needs due to short staffing.
4. Work primarily shifts of 8-12 hours, with opportunities to transition to longer shifts as desired.
5. Maintain minimal call presence.
6. Utilize a high degree of autonomy while enhancing skills.
7. Participate in safety precautions, exposure management, and use of protective equipment.
8. Engage in problem-solving and effective communication with patients and team members.
9. Utilize EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Qualifications:

1. Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
2. Completion of an Accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
3. Experience in anesthesia preferred; new graduates and final year students encouraged to apply.
4. Ability to handle objects up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

License and Certification Requirements:

1. Current Michigan Nursing and Specialty License (or willingness to obtain).
2. Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
3. Up-to-date COVID-19 and annual flu vaccinations.
4. Clean malpractice and license history.
