Job description

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient interviews and chart reviews.

• Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans tailored to patient needs and procedural requirements.

• Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.

• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period, adjusting anesthetic plans as necessary based on clinical changes.

• Manage emergency airway situations and provide resuscitative measures when required.

• Provide postoperative anesthesia care, including pain management and monitoring for adverse reactions or complications.

• Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program (Master s or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia).

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in North Carolina.

• National certification from the NBCRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist).

• Current BLS and ACLS certification; PALS preferred.

• Minimum of 1 2 years of CRNA experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered depending on the practice setting.
