Description of Work Assignment: Hospital is a level one trauma center, 620-bed teaching hospital serving the needs of the local community. The anesthesiology department conducts more than 25,000 anesthetics yearly in our 20-bed operating room suite with 4 minor procedure rooms. We work in a traditional ACT model and experience a diverse variety of surgical procedures.
Anticipated Procedures/Surgeries per Week: Coverage of the following services:
Breakdown of Clinic Days/Sessions and/or OR Days: Four 10-hour days or three 12/13-hour days, varying each week.
Schedule of Days/Times Needed to Work/Shift Hours: To be determined, typically 2000 hours shift.
On call? No call hours required.
Procedures Provider Will Be REQUIRED To Perform: General anesthesia, MAC, Regional (spinals), arterial lines.
Patient Load: Varies based on daily assignments and procedures.
Fellowship Requirements: Not applicable.
Board Status Requirement (BC/BE): NBCRNA certification.
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
Additional Surgical Staff: Surgical residents.
Support Staff: Anesthesia techs and SRS facilitate room flow and turnover.
Work Model: Traditional ACT model with supervision ratios of 1:2 or occasionally 1:3, collaborating with MD, DO, CRNA, CAA colleagues, and residents.
Mid Levels: Not applicable; seeking an Advanced Practice Provider.
Trauma Level of Work Location: Level 1 Trauma Center.
EMR System: Epic.
Clinic EMR Different from Hospital EMR? No.
Provider Expectations: Supportive of a respectful and collegial staff environment.
Interview Process: Phone and possibly virtual interview.
