**Ambulatory Surgery Center**

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
People
  1. Provides leadership in the professional practice setting.
  2. Supports and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
  3. Delegates tasks to assistive personnel in a respectful professional manner.
  4. Identifies patient problems and collaborates with the anesthesia, surgeon, and perioperative team in selecting appropriate interventions.
  5. Interacts with members of the healthcare team to plan and coordinate perioperative care.
  6. Promotes a healthy work environment through professional communication, commitment to coworkers, and positive problem resolution.
Service
  1. Conducts pre-anesthetic assessments and documents findings.
  2. Collaborates with anesthesiologists to determine and manage the anesthetic plan for all phases of care.
  3. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all procedures.
  4. Provides airway management and intubations as needed throughout the hospital.
  5. Exceeds patient and customer expectations to meet the Henry Ford Experience standards.
  6. Identifies service and care improvement ideas and acts on them.
  7. Upholds standards and policies, supporting team accountability.
  8. Recognizes contributions of all healthcare team members.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Details

Part-Time, Days, No Weekends, 2-3 Years' experience, willingness to rotate to other ambulatory sites.

Education/Experience Required
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing and anesthesia school.
  • Master's degree required.
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare providers.
Certifications/Licenses Required
  • Michigan RN License, Specialty Certification, CRNA, ALS, BLS, and others as specified.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Frequent walking, bending, lifting; variable environments including OR, Radiology, ICU, ER; exposure to hazards; driving may be required.
