Position Summary: "Where Creating the Best Hope for a Healthier Future Begins" As a Pediatric Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), working under the supervision of attending anesthesiologists, you will play a vital role in providing professional nursing services by administering anesthesia primarily to pediatric surgery patients under the age of 18. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia to pediatric patients with and without congenital heart disease.
In this role, you will work closely with the anesthesia team including anesthesiology assistants, resident physicians, UT approved students, surgical team and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to the specific needs of each pediatric patient. You will collaborate with attending anesthesiologists to prepare and administer anesthetic agents, carefully monitor patients' vital signs and bodily functions, and adjust anesthesia levels as necessary throughout medical or surgical procedures.
Your commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure will be essential as you navigate complex cases and manage any potential complications that may arise. Additional Summary Specific to Job: Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). A minimum of 6 months of work experience in anesthetizing pediatric patients is desirable. Opportunity to onboarding will be provided.

The incumbent must meet 2 of 6 established requirements:
Minimum Education: Masters in Nurse Anesthesia
Minimum Experience: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Physical Requirements: Security Sensitive: This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
