Augusta Health is seeking a Recreation Therapist to deliver services to patients within the Recreation Therapy Department’s scope of care. The therapist will plan and implement patient care under department policy and maintain professional standards, reporting to the Inpatient Therapy Supervisor.
Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation (preferred) and eligibility or current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) by NCTRC, plus licensure as a
A certified recreation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of services to patients within the Recreation Therapy Departments scope of service. The Recreation Therapist is responsible for assigned patient’s plan of care within the domain of Recreation Therapy. The Recreation Therapist must maintain standards of a professional therapist and must be able to provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures. Reports to the Inpatient Therapy Supervisor.
