Job summary

Dignity Health – Glendale Memorial Hospital is seeking a Certified Recreation Therapist to design therapeutic recreation programs that improve patient well-being, help develop skills, and enhance quality of life in a hospital setting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of mental health experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes duties following established guidelines and protocols within the timeframe.
• Prioritizes tasks and manages time effectively amid varying workloads.
• Plans and leads therapeutic recreation activities and documents progress.
• Collaborates with care teams to ensure accurate and timely care.

• Completes work within an acceptable time frame, avoiding incidental overtime.

• Demonstrates the ability to set priorities and optimally use work time.

• Ensures accuracy and completeness in job tasks.

• Demonstrates the ability to perform work in an accurate and timely manner in periods of increased workload and high stress.

• Demonstrates good judgement in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions.

Pay Range

$32.32 - $48.07 /hour
