Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare’s Ridgeview program seeks a compassionate Peer Support Specialist to support individuals in behavioral health and substance use treatment.

You’ll draw on lived experience to help clients engage in recovery, connect with community resources, and stay connected throughout treatment, working with a multidisciplinary team to shape recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Active Peer Support Specialist certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree in a human services-related field preferred.
• Ability to use lived experience appropriately and maintain professional boundaries.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support using lived experience to encourage client recovery and treatment engagement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on client care and recovery planning.
• Help clients connect with community resources and build ongoing recovery support systems.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources as directed.
• Document client and collateral contacts accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in peer record reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Build professional working relationships with staff across disciplines.
• Keep your supervisor informed about client progress, concerns, and service needs.
• Transport clients to community-based resources and services as needed.
• Participate in assigned emergency service coverage, which may include after-hours support, crisis planning, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures.

In this role, you’ll draw on lived experience to help clients strengthen their recovery, connect with community resources, and stay engaged throughout the treatment process. You’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support each client’s recovery goals before, during, and after treatment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide peer support using lived experience to encourage client recovery and treatment engagement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members on client care and recovery planning.
• Help clients connect with community resources and build ongoing recovery support systems.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources as directed.
• Complete concurrent reviews and communications with referral sources as assigned.
• Document client and collateral contacts accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Participate in peer record reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Build professional working relationships with staff across disciplines.
• Keep your supervisor informed about client progress, concerns, and service needs.
• Transport clients to community-based resources and services as needed.
• Participate in assigned emergency service coverage, which may include after-hours support, crisis planning, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling company information.
• Complete required company and accreditation or licensing trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Employment Requirements

Selected candidates must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screening, and any required state-mandated clearances. Employment is contingent upon meeting all screening requirements in accordance with applicable regulations.
