Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
  • ARRT (RT(R)) certification is required.
  • State X‑Ray Operator licenses for MS and TN are required.
  • Significant experience operating C‑Arm fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate C‑Arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain procedures.
  • Ensure proper positioning of C‑Arm and patient for optimal imaging.
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging per physician direction and regulatory guidelines.

Position Overview

MidSouth Pain Treatment Center, a PartnerCare affiliated company, is seeking a Certified X‑Ray Technician (Full time) to operate the C‑Arm for interventional pain management procedures at our Germantown, TN ASC.

Core Responsibilities
  • Operate C‑Arm fluoroscopy equipment during interventional pain management procedures, including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, spinal cord stimulator trials, and other image‑guided procedures.
  • Ensure proper positioning of the C‑Arm and patient to obtain optimal imaging while maintaining radiation safety for patients and clinical staff.
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging per physician directive and regulatory guidelines.
  • Apply radiation safety practices, including shielding, collimation, and minimizing exposure consistent with ALARA principles.
  • Prepare patients for imaging and procedures by verifying identity, explaining steps, and ensuring comfortable positioning.
  • Maintain routine quality control checks on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Report equipment issues or malfunctions promptly to supervisor or service provider.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and safe procedural operations.
  • Stay current on radiologic technology, fluoroscopy techniques, and radiation safety standards through continuing education.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of fluoroscopy positioning and imaging techniques.
  • Display excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Work effectively and remain composed in a fast‑paced, procedure‑based clinical environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff.
Education and Experience
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT (RT(R)) certification.
  • State of Mississippi and Tennessee Medical Board X‑Ray Operators License.
  • Significant experience operating C‑Arm fluoroscopy equipment.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging best practices.
  • BLS certification.
