Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Radiology Technician Cert to perform standard radiographic procedures with independent judgement and initiative. You will contribute to patient care through accurate imaging and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduated from accredited school of Radiological Technology with an Associate degree or equivalent.
• BCLS required.
• Must be ARRT (RT).
• Must have Texas Medical Board license (TMB).
• Clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in radiation exposure and monitoring.
• Demonstrates competency in ALARA and dose equivalent limits.
• Demonstrates competency in Radiation physics.
• Demonstrates competency with two patient identifiers.
• Demonstrates knowledge of radiation protection per ACR, NRC, ARRT (time, distance, shielding).
• Demonstrates knowledge of image processing and quality assurance.
