Position Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist for our Great Neck location. The successful candidate will coordinate and perform pulmonary function testing services, ensuring quality and accuracy of laboratory studies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic pulmonary function tests and other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of standards, policies, procedures, staff responsibilities, and instrumentation related to pulmonary testing.
• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment proficiently.
• Assess patients, manage clinical aerosol delivery, and handle emergency procedures related to testing.
• Operate and manage pulmonary function laboratory activities.
• Provide education and instructions to staff, patients, families, physicians, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC-registered with RRT credential and NYS Respiratory Therapist license, or CRT credential with NYS Respiratory Therapy Technician license. Experience in pulmonary function labs is preferred. Proficiency with Windows-based pulmonary software and excellent communication skills are required.

Required Licenses:

CPFT, NYS Respiratory Therapist License, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in respiratory care or related field and two years of hospital PFT lab experience.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

Salary range: $52,694.71 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range does not include bonuses or additional compensation.
