Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification.
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience; 5 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current tax laws.
• Ability to analyze client financial records and advise on deductions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The Certified Public Accountant is responsible for preparing, reviewing and analyzing financial reports, individual tax returns, and business tax returns. This position will play a vital role in our company ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and analyze client financial records.
• Identify potential tax deductions and savings clients have not considered.
• Advising clients about tax laws and how to meet requirements
• Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping, sales tax returns, payroll and tax returns.
• Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.
• Assess and research difficult tax issues to identify solutions.
• Offer support and guidance during audits.
• Other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.
• Ability to work overtime during tax season.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a tax accountant or similar role preferred. A minimum of 2+ years’ experience required.
• Ability to project confidence and build rapport with clients
• In-depth understanding of current tax laws.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills to help clients legally minimize tax burdens.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office and accounting software, especially QuickBooks.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.
