Job summary

AOPAnet in Providence, RI is seeking a motivated Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join our orthotics and prosthetics facility on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will evaluate patients, establish treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and staff to deliver individualized prosthetic and orthotic solutions.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) through ABC.
• Demonstrated knowledge of orthotic and prosthetic evaluation, fabrication, fitting and patient management.
• Exemplary interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and assess orthotic/prosthetic needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with patients, physicians and therapists.
• Perform measurements, casting, scanning, fitting, alignment, adjustment and delivery of devices.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, care and follow-up.
• Monitor progress and modify for optimal fit, comfort, safety and function.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per policies and regulations.
• Communicate with referring physicians and healthcare team.
• Support a positive patient experience with compassionate care and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with standards, certification, billing, and safety protocols.
• Contribute to practice growth through teamwork and referrals.
