Össur is looking for a dedicated Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our Knoxville clinic. This full-time role requires collaboration with other practitioners to provide high-quality orthotic and prosthetic devices, with responsibilities extending to patient evaluations, fittings, and education.

The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics, possess certification from the American Board, and have 2-5 years of relevant experience. About the Role

We are seeking to hire an on-site (full-time) Certified Prosthetist Orthotist for a career-growth opportunity in our clinic. The candidate will work alongside other practitioners to create quality prosthetic and orthotic devices, using a systematic approach to increase competencies with higher levels of amputations and responsibilities. The role includes clinic coverage at our Knoxville, TN clinic, outreach to Southern Kentucky locations when needed, and utilization of a mobile unit primarily for prosthetic patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient evaluations.
• Detailed notation in Nymbl Hand casting/Scanning for all amputation levels and custom Prosthetic & Orthotic devices.
• Modifications, diagnostic fittings, delivery, and follow-up, including hospital visits for evaluation and post-op device delivery.
• Providing support at the hospital for staff orthotists as needed.
• Performing Prosthetic/Orthotic marketing activities such as visiting referral sources, hospitals, clinics, speaking with physicians, and providing in-services.
• Interacting with physicians and therapists about the patient’s needs and treatment plans.
• Patient and family education.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certified Prosthetist Orthotist by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics & Orthotics.
• Master’s Degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from an accredited university.
• 2-5 years of experience.
