Job summary

Pro Fit Prosthetics and Orthotics is seeking a passionate Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our West Berlin, NJ team. Deliver expert prosthetic and orthotic care in a patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, designing and fitting devices, and coordinating with healthcare professionals. Advanced certification (CPO) and NJ licensure are required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• ABC/BOC certification required.
• Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics preferred.
• New Jersey state licensure required or ability to obtain before start date.
• Experience fitting and fabricating upper and lower limb prostheses and orthoses.
• Strong knowledge of L-code billing and insurance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, assess, and treat patients needing prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
• Design, fabricate, fit, and adjust custom prostheses and orthoses to patient needs.
• Develop and document comprehensive patient care plans in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Provide patient education and training on proper device use and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate patient records per ABC/BOC and insurer requirements.
• Stay current with advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology, materials, and techniques.

Requirements:

• Current ABC or BOC Certification as a Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) required
• Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or related field preferred
• Valid state licensure in New Jersey or ability to obtain prior to start date
• Experience in fitting and fabricating both upper and lower limb prostheses and orthoses
• Strong knowledge of L-code billing and insurance documentation processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a clinical team
