Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Certified Professional Coder for a full-time orthopedic billing role. The candidate must have at least 2 years of medical billing experience including charge and payment posting, and at least 1 year in orthopedic billing.

Responsibilities include coding review, CMS guideline adherence, AR management, and posting insurance and self-pay payments for a busy orthopedic practice.

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required or in process.
• Minimum 2 years medical billing experience, including charge and payment posting.
• Experience in orthopedic medical billing and A/R management.

Responsibilities

• Codes and reviews diagnoses, CPT/HCPCS, and related procedures.
• Stay up to date with CMS guidelines and reimbursement policies.
• Review medical records to ensure accurate coding and compliance.
• Notify providers of coding updates and recommend strategies.
• Post insurance and self-pay payments; manage AR as needed.

Job Description: Certified Professional Coder

This is a full-time position which requires at least 2 years of medical billing experience, charge posting, payment posting, collections and A/R. You must be a certified professional coder with at least 1 full year of experience in orthopedic medical billing. This will involve claims management, follow-up and self-pay collections for our busy Orthopedic office

Responsibilities:

• Codes and/or review diagnosis, co-morbidities, complications, and diagnostic procedures, Current with (CPT) (HCPCS-all levels, and any other classification systems that may be required
• Stay up to date with the latest medical compliance & reimbursement policies
• Review medical record information to identify all appropriate coding is in tune with the latest reimbursement policies & CMS guidelines
• Check on compliance issues, update Providers with accurate coding information and recommend new strategies to Providers
• Implement new coding guidelines
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
