Position Overview

For the 2027-2028 school year, Awty International School, whose French program is accredited by the French Ministry of Education, is seeking a qualified Primary School Teacher (Professeur des Écoles) certified by the French national education system.

The school will be looking for an experienced hands-on teacher who interacts with students in a creative and innovative manner and can take complex concepts to a level the students will comprehend. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a commitment to and experience teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment.

This is a local position for teachers on detachment or availability, subject to vacancy. Note: The employer is not the Mission Laïque Française but the school's governing body (contract, remuneration, etc.).

• Five years experience teaching in Secondary
• Bilingual in English and French
• Certified by the French national education system

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria, listed by priority:

• Experience in French schools abroad.
• Language skills: Proficiency in English (Understanding: C1 / Speaking: B2).
• Experience: Professional experience with young children, preferably in an international context, is highly desired.
• Experience on the PYP (Primary Years Program)
• Strong proficiency in and use of digital tools.
• Innovative teaching practices, including flexible classroom management, would be an asset.
• A skilled, creative, and dynamic educator.
• Open-minded, curious, and tolerant.
• An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Rigorous and well-organized.
• Sensitive to cultural diversity.
• Solid references, including inspection reports and recommendation letters with contact details (phone and email), are required.
• Proficiency in English and strong competency in the use of digital tools for teaching are required.
