Base pay range

$47,000.00/yr - $71,000.00/yr

About The Role

The Certified Pre-K Counts Teacher plays a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of young children in a supportive and nurturing environment. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that meets the developmental needs of preschool-aged children, ensuring they are prepared for future academic success. The teacher will engage with families to foster a collaborative approach to education, promoting a strong home-school connection. Additionally, the role involves assessing children's progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Ultimately, the goal is to create a positive and enriching learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Level One PA Teaching Certification; at the time of offer.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Level Two PA Teaching Certification; at the time of offer
  • Experience with diverse populations and inclusive teaching practices.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with state standards and the Pre-K Counts curriculum.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's development and learning, using the results to inform instructional practices.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and provide resources for continued learning at home.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
  • Complete state required trainings.
  • Maintain high level of job integrity and professionalism while adhering to ethical code of conduct.
